2012 Election

This year's presidential election is approaching fast!  It's important for students to learn their civic responsibilities.  Not only is this part of the Iowa Core but it's also important as an American Citizen!  Students may not be able to vote in this coming presidential election but their time will come soon enough.   As part of building civic responsibility students will be participating in our election for the 2012 presidential candidates. The rest of October advisory will be devoted to learning about the upcoming election.  You will also be completing some research in English class.  It's important to know what is going on.    Besides you don't want to be the people in the video below!
So when is the election?   What qualifications does someone need to have to be president?  Please discuss this with your advisory teacher!   After you figure out the basics, it's time for you to figure out what you need to do to vote.     Please go to: How do I vote?
