You will need to have your political maps out from class.  You will be using those as you refer to the thematic maps on this page for location.   In this activity you will use thematic maps to learn about the resources of Africa and connect this to the 7 Revolutions.  We will on focus on the bold items.

 You will use this handout to guide your quest.   
Learning Target 1: What makes up Africa as a continent?
Success Criteria A: Student can locate cities countries on map. 
Success Criteria B: Student can locate cities countries on map. 
Success Criteria C: Student can locate physical features on map. 

Success Criteria D: Student can interpret a thematic map.
Success Criteria E: Students can read & understand climographs.
Learning Target 2: How are the 7 Revolutions affecting Africa?
 SC 2A: Students can explain the changing role of women in the devolving countries’ economies.  
 SC 2B: Students can explain how Apartheid created conflict in South Africa.  
 SC 2C: Students can explain how the conflict in Rwanda was created by the haves and have nots.  SC 2D: Students can explain the conflict created over resources management.
